Viva Los Grandiosos!!

Here is the Rancho Cucamonga Adult Soccer League Champions 2008!! The Old Town Baking Company soccer team won the big trophy last night in a double header. They were named Los Grandiosos because Scotty went to the managers meeting and needed a name, so he chose a name from a soccer team he had when he was a kid......interesting.

The victory came with penalty kicks, an injury, death threats (seriously from the first team they played. They threatened to get Adam in the parking lot...nice), and lots of sore body parts. It was a lot of fun to be apart of the action and watch the guys have a great time!

Scott was KLUTCH!! The championship game ended with penalty kicks and as you can see from the determination on his face, Scott was not going to let the other team win...and he didn't!

(did you really expect the goalie shirt to be anything other than a Steelers jersey?)

Proud cheering section!

That's great! I bet that would be fun to watch and to win in their first year is terrific. Too bad about the threats, but you know they are good when that happens. Didn't look like and bakers had to be fired for better players.

Congratulations!!!
I saw the trophy with my own eyes right there in the bakery for all to see! And the framed soccer shirt (jersey) on the wall...nice bakery decoration!
What an accomplishment! We are so proud to be related to you! Aaron is so sad because he, of course, wanted to play so badly but 3 knee surgeries is quite enough!
