The first day of the rest of her life...

Our little girl started Kindergarten this week. Now that it is Saturday, I am just coming up for air from our new schedule. Seems simple enough considering she goes from 8:50-12:10, and we live about 3 houses down from the school but let me just give you some dialogue that was frequented this week.
"Yes, Averi, it does matter if it matches"
"Owen, your shoes are on the wrong feet again"
"Owen, what is in your backpack, its at least 10 pounds no wonder your tired already"
"Wade, did you seriously just spit up all over me in the snugli?"
"Owen, are you Okay?, Ok stand up, we gotta go"
"Averi, you cannot seriously be complaining about homework already."
"Averi, I'm sorry that the jewels fell off of your project on the way. I love you and I think it looks beautiful."
"Owen, your shoes are on the wrong feet again."
"Wade, did you seriously spit up all over me in the snugli?"
"Owen, are you okay? ok, stand up, we gotta go."
"Yes, Averi, it does matter if it matches."
You get the idea. All in all, she had a great week and is totally loving school. She loves her teacher and has already made friends. She is collecting her stickers for being a good listener on a poster board and loves to tell me about "all of the boys" who get their stickers taken away. She got to go on a Fire truck and already had cupcakes for a classmates birthday....life for our baby is good!!

Ahh Averi looks so cute! You guys will get the hang of it and then you'll have it down to a science. We still have one more weekend then back to the grind.

hee hee! My favorite, "yes it does matter if it matches." It looks like she got a pretty great outfit together! When you get a minute, you'll have to post how you did (emotionally) sending your first to kindergarten. I'm already getting teary eyed thinking about it for my girls!
PS...Happy Anniversary!

I love her and can't believe she is in school already, and yet she is so smart, it seems she has always been to school. It's a new era in your life and will go on for a long time, but with fun memories.

Yeah Averi! You are so beautiful! Glad you had a fun first week!

Hey Stace...at least Owen was wearing shoes! One day we drove to school...we're getting out...and Caden didn't have his shoes!
